The Role:

The VP, Sales will lead the charge in building strategy and programs to support Newsela’s Sales success targets for our mid-market and Enterprise segments. As a strategic leader for our Sales team, you will help scale our organization and will help attract, retain, and grow best in class talent. Your role will define goals and KPIs . You will partner across operations, marketing, data, product and customer success to develop an end-to-end strategy to achieve revenue  targets and propel our district strategy.

You’ll be part of a high-energy sales team, but will be leveraging expertise in business strategy and/or management consulting to help our sales team achieve pipeline and revenue targets; and you will get to work with a cross-functional team beyond sales to catapult Newsela’s growth help accelerate our business growth.

Your sales leadership and strategy experience lends itself to a track record of understanding buyer needs and you can effectively target those needs and create a program, working with cross-functional partners to put that strategy in place. You have successfully designed and executed on a business plan. You have a strong ability to project and forecast growth sales throughout the sales process. You are continuously seeking to strengthen your knowledge of each market segment, and have a demonstrated ability to take real-time market data to iterate and drive improvements across the business.
