Requirements
About the role
Rokt is seeking an experienced business development professional to lead all commercial activity required to launch and rapidly grow Rokt’s presence in the small to medium business (SMB) segment.
Reporting to our SVP Business Development this role will lead the team responsible for building inbound and outbound sales and marketing funnels to drive adoption and revenue growth for our ecommerce marketing (Rokt Ecommerce) and performance marketing (Acquire) products for SMBs. This includes, but is not limited to, sales and business development activities, channel partnerships and performance marketing. You will collaborate closely with the Sydney-based Product team to ensure the education and onboarding of new clients scales effectively.
You're a strong fit for this role if you have a sharp, commercial mind that takes a solutions approach to solve complex problems. You have experience in either enterprise SAAS, IT solutions and/or ecommerce business development or commercial roles. You have led cross functional teams to generate rapid revenue growth by rolling out a new product through range of in market activity.
You enjoy wearing multiple hats - context shifting from business development, strategy, consulting, marketing, MarTech, AdTech, and sales is something which keeps you engaged and excited. You are comfortable being an individual contributor and “owning” your business segment. You are naturally curious and want to constantly improve performance. You believe in the value of building relationships based on trust and integrity.

Outcomes & responsibilities
Own the commercial strategy for launching and growing the SMB segment in partnership with the executive team
Plan the appropriate growth for the business & provide quarterly forecasts of expected growth
Develop partnerships with organizations that provide access to large numbers of SMBs, including ecommerce platforms, development agencies, marketplaces
Build and optimise and inbound marketing and sales funnel including performance marketing, educating and onboarding small businesses
Build and optimise an outbound business development function for medium sized businesses, leveraging sales development resources
Maintain updated Hubspot database and reporting of prospects, leads and clients.
Collaborate effectively with the Product and Product Marketing teams to generate effective marketing materials and product onboarding approach to scale acquisition
Ultimately continuously achieve quarterly and annual revenue goals
Identify resource/hiring needs to help grow the business.
Work with Rokt leadership to identify strategic, scalable growth opportunities (channels, agencies, tech partnerships, etc.)
Capabilities & requirements
5+ years experience with proven track record of growing revenue for a SaaS / Technology product in the small to medium business segment
Must have a proven track record of revenue growth through both inbound and outbound sales and marketing funnels
Professional client-facing skills. Polished, articulate and credible when communicating with partners in business and social settings. Full comprehension of client businesses and needs.
Demonstrated team leadership skills - hiring, managing and coaching a high performing team
A curious mind with a strong desire to leverage creative problem-solving skills to develop new ideas and revenue opportunities for the organisation.
Demonstrated ability to think conceptually as well as engage in the detail
Entrepreneurial background, attitude or ambition is a plus. Ability to work independently and collaborate with internal constituencies is key.
Excellent written, interpersonal, verbal and listening skills.
Understanding of digital media and emerging marketing and ad tech is preferred
Past experience and deep executive knowledge & credibility in ecommerce/Retail is a bonus
Bachelor's/Master's degree. Post-graduate degree not a requirement but well received.
