Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week
We are seeking a Data Architect with hands-on experience in modern data architecture, analytics engineering, and cloud-native data platforms. You will help shape and deliver high-quality, scalable data products using dbt Cloud, Databricks, and AWS, supporting analytics and business initiatives across the enterprise.
This role is ideal for an experienced data professional who can bridge data modeling, transformation, and platform operations with a strong product mindset. You will work closely with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Product Owners to design and build the next generation of governed, discoverable, and reusable data assets.
What You'll Do:
• Design and implement scalable analytics engineering pipelines using dbt Cloud, ensuring modularity, reusability, testing, and governance across data domains.• Support the design and optimization of scalable, high-performance data workflows on Databricks using Delta Lake and Unity Catalog.• Partner with Data Product and Value Stream teams to translate business needs into data models, semantic layers, and shared data assets.• Implement data quality checks, CI/CD pipelines, and version control processes across analytics engineering initiatives.• Participate in architecture and design reviews to ensure alignment with enterprise data standards and best practices.• Document data lineage, metadata, and access patterns to promote discoverability, trust, and compliance.• Collaborate with infrastructure and platform teams on AWS services, Databricks, and DevOps tooling to support scalable and automated processing.• Promote a product-thinking mindset in the development and delivery of analytics-ready datasets.• Identify opportunities to improve and modernize existing data architecture and infrastructure.• Advocate for and promote best practices in data architecture, governance, and data management across the organization.• Stay current on modern data stack tooling and contribute to evaluating and implementing platform improvements.
What You'll Bring:
• 5+ years of experience in data architecture, analytics engineering, or data engineering roles.• Hands-on experience building transformation pipelines using dbt Cloud, including models, tests, documentation, and macros.• Practical experience working with Databricks and AWS in production environments.• Strong proficiency in SQL, with working knowledge of Python in data workflows.• Solid understanding of data modeling principles, data quality practices, and pipeline orchestration.• Experience with agile delivery practices and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, dbt Cloud jobs, or Databricks repos.• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.• Ability to lead with empathy, embrace diverse perspectives, and foster a culture of openness and continuous learning.• Relevant certifications in dbt, Databricks, or AWS are a plus.
Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $124,000-$177,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
