  • Write clear, maintainable code and comprehensive documentation for data pipelines and processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to financial operations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our data engineering standards, tools, and processes.
  • Operate effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating the ability to work independently, managing relationships, deliverables, and expectations with your business partners.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills, being personable, approachable, and able to connect effectively with individuals across the team and throughout the business.
  • Remain detail-oriented while working across a wide variety of projects.

What you’ll need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, with a focus on building and maintaining data warehouses and ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Proficiency in core data engineering technologies, including:
    • Data Warehousing: Snowflake (primary), experience with PostgreSQL.
    • Programming/Scripting: Python, SQL.
    • ETL/ELT & Orchestration: Airflow, dbt, and experience with tools like MuleSoft, Fivetran, or similar.
    • Cloud Platforms: AWS.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, particularly within a finance context.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach to your work.

Strong Plus:

  • Experience working directly with financial data (e.g., general ledger, financial planning, transactions).
  • Experience deploying resources using Infrastructure as Code - IaC tools (i.e. Terraform)
  • Familiarity with Finance ERP systems (e.g., Workday, NetSuite) and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) tools (e.g., TM1/Planning Analytics).
