Noodle Markets is seeking a full-time Front-End Engineer for our Engineering Team. The Engineering Team at Noodle Markets is responsible for developing, deploying, and running the product in the cloud on Amazon Web Services.

This position will work alongside a team of software engineers with expertise in front-end, middle-tier and databases. You will need to be able to work closely with our lead engineer and back-end engineers building out modern front-end technology for the Noodle Markets platform.

This position reports to the SVP, Technology & Engineering.

What you will do:

• Expert knowledge in JavaScript, CSS (Less/SASS) and HTML
• Experience working with modern web frameworks like React.js, AngularJS, Ember.js, etc.
• Extensive experience working with Git.
• Experience with templating languages like Jinja2, Django templates is a plus.
• Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility.
• Understanding of best practices for page speed and performance.
• A good understanding of prototype inheritance, and the ability to solve problems with the correct abstractions.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.

What you need to be successful:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in software development.
• Experience developing modern front-end applications.
• Ability to collaborate with team members with different skills and different levels of experience.
• Strong communications skills.
• Willing and able to learn on the job.
• Ability to foster a positive team environment.

Other qualifications

We prefer candidates who have implemented at least one complex project before. In your cover letter please describe the most challenging project in which you have been involved, your role in it, what made it so challenging, and how you overcame the technical hurdles.

Requirements for the interview

The interviews will be conducted in two stages. The first stage will be a brief screening session in which your interest and engagement will be assessed. In the second stage you will be subjected to a more rigorous technical interview, in which you will be required to write code.
