Job Summary:

Searching for a highly motivated individual to help define and build advanced analytics within the Technology and Data team at Night Market, a Horizon Media company. This will be a senior role reporting into the VP of Analytics.

On a day-to-day the role will entail working with media data, specifically retail media data with a particular emphasis on audiences via clean rooms. In this new but fast growing space, you will have the opportunity to develop the playbook and develop a program that gives fresh perspective on how retail media is perceived.

Role requires experience in working with paid biddable media as well as operating within clean rooms. You will be diving deep into extracts from POS systems (Vendor Central, Partners Online), Ad Servers  and Networks (The Trade Desk, PacVue), and Third Party Research (ComScore, SEMRush) providers across all retailers (such as Amazon, Walmart, Kroger).  Oftentimes there will be clear direction but it’s critical you have a curious mind and are willing to be proactive in diving into the data to find insights that weren’t previously known.

You will be armed with significant technological resources such as Snowflake, Fivetran, Tableau, and more. From a collaboration standpoint, you will regularly coordinate with our data strategy team, our software engineering team, and many other divisions of the company.

For sucess at this role a need for effective working relationships with a variety of parties and actively presenting decks and findings across the org, especially to clients so solid communication skills are a must. Furthermore, a part of the remit is contributing to client weekly reports so an understanding of client business objectives and providing supporting insights/recommendations is critical.

Analytic engagements can include (but are not limited to) ROAS, ROI, MMM, MTA, Universal IDs, Clean Rooms, digital media campaign measurement, forecasting, financial analysis, user-level analysis, Marketplaces/ eRetailers performance, eCommerce shopper experiences. In order to accomplish those analytical asks, some proficiency in SQL will be required as well as familiarity with  Tableau.

This is a very high growth and visibility role and you will be providing strategic guidance to our top clients every week.

What You’ll Do
50% - Proactive Insights Mining

  • Quench curiosities by diving deep into the data. In collaboration with data strategy team, query our data lake and bring disparate data together to understand media impacts on client business goals
  • Build measurement plans with teams to develop insights that will track success towards those goals
  • Perform extensive analysis on output of client data to build insights of how their business is operating
  • Develop recommendations based on insights (done in tandem with account leaders)

30% - Business Intelligence

  • Build dashboards that support aspirations of automating client insights
  • Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly reporting and insights cadences

20% - Strategy

  • Work with internal account teams to give perspective on pathways that are best suited for client objectives
  • Develop an approach on how we as a company can better support our clients from an insights/analytical standpoint as well as an automation standpoint

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • 4+ years in paid media data analysis, particularly biddable media
  • 3+ years working with business intelligence tools, ex: Tableau
  • 5+ years using Excel
  • Direct experience within retailer data – like Amazon Ads
  • Experience querying databases using SQL
  • Experience creating and elevating current analytics methodology, building replicable insights frameworks.
  • Working closely with clients and account teams to assess business and marketing challenges, discuss the possible solutions, and execute a plan.
  • Spearheading new analytical initiatives to drive actionable insights for our clients
  • Advocating research findings to diverse audiences through in-person presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to extract business insights from large datasets and use them to drive business change
  • Experience performing analysis with large datasets and building reports and dashboards using business intelligence tools
  • Understanding of the various ways that customer level data can be used to create targetable audiences
  • Experience designing, analyzing, and interpreting the results of different test methodologies (e.g. pre/post, A/B splits, multivariate) as well as an understanding of the techniques used by various 3rd party measurement providers

Salary Range

$100,000.00 - $120,000.00
