You might be a fit if you have:
- 5+ years experience as a software enginee
- Internal API Design: Strong experience in internal API design and deployment is crucial. You will help the team stay on the cutting edge by enabling it to perform without needing to modify the code artifacts of other teams.
- Internal Tooling & B2B Software: Experience with internal tooling and a strong interest in B2B software will be valuable. You will be focused on building tools that support internal teams, with less emphasis on front-end development.
- Proactive Development: We are looking for someone who can turn a reactive team into a proactive one, with experience in brownfield development. - Managers as advocates. You’ll report to leaders invested in your growth and promotion, not just their own. Managers only succeed when their teams thrive
- Outcomes over output. We value finding ways to do more with less, working smart instead of burning out
- Product ownership. Engineers are owners, not mercenaries. Everyone plays a role in discovering, advocating for, and implementing product ideas
- Technical quality. We work collaboratively with product to ensure great outcomes without sacrificing quality. Sustainable development is a first class priority

What We Do
January is a Series B fintech company that works with borrowers who fall behind their loans to achieve financial stability while helping creditors modernize their collections process.
Traditional debt collection is rife with harassment and fraud. January is driving systemic change in this predatory industry by providing borrowers with the best options for their situation and helping creditors make data-driven decisions. We empower borrowers to dispute, negotiate, and resolve their debt without stress or embarrassment while providing transparency and compliance to our creditor clients.
