The Senior Vice President, Investor Relations (“SVP, IR”) will work closely with the CFO, CEO, President, and other members of the leadership team to support and execute the company’s investor relations communications. The SVP, Investor Relations’ primary responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining relationships with buy- and sell-side analysts, coordinating information flow, and supporting the preparation of materials for investor presentations and quarterly investor calls. The SVP, Investor Relations will serve as the primary corporate spokesperson and point of contact for the investment community. S/he will lead efforts to maintain best-in-class communication and engagement with investors and key stakeholders.
This executive will have deep experience in investor relations and a strong ability to clearly and effectively communicate the company’s story to investors. In addition, this leader will have high business acumen with in depth knowledge of the investor relations function educating investors about the investment narrative.
In addition to serving as the company’s spokesperson and relationship manager with the investment community, this executive will provide insight and feedback to the leadership team with regards to investor perceptions and expectations. This is a senior position that will work at the highest levels both internally and externally and must show the capability, determination, and enthusiasm to make a significant contribution to the company’s future success
The SVP, Investor Relations will be responsible to lead and facilitate StubHub’s engagement with prospective investors, existing shareholders, and the research analyst community. The role is a core member of the financial leadership team and reports directly to the CFO.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive investor and analyst relations program, ensuring the company’s story, progress, and priorities are clearly communicated. Enhance the analyst relations function by building strong, consistent engagement that strengthens the company’s reputation with investors, analysts, employees, and customers.
- In conjunction with the CEO, CFO, and leadership team, oversee the company’s investor and analyst communications, including conference participation, roadshows, earnings releases, investor meetings, the annual report, and preparation of presentations and materials for analysts, investors, and other key stakeholders.
- Monitor and analyze general industry performance, sell-side research, and market-related trends and events and provide analyses to senior leadership and Board of Directors, as required.
- Partner closely with StubHub stakeholders (e.g., legal, public relations, and functional leadership) across the organization to craft accurate, external messaging which amplifies StubHub ’s corporate narrative to the investment community. Evaluate and enhance the investor relations infrastructure, including systems and processes for effective investor and analyst communication, engagement tracking, competitive insights, and executive messaging, as well as maintaining and improving the investor relations website
- Provide insights to senior management on investor and analyst perspectives, trends in the investment community, and feedback on the company’s messaging, in collaboration with legal and other stakeholders. Regularly report feedback to leadership and Board of Director stakeholders about analysts' estimates and perceptions, oral perceptions and opinions from analysts and investors, industries and peer company performance, and the stock market. Regularly communicate with rating agencies such as Moody's, S&P etc.
- Proactively develop and maintain relationships with current institutional shareholders, prospective institutional investors, sell-side analysts to promote an understanding of and interest in the StubHub.
- Tracking market conditions, opinions, attitudes and reactions to the Company and the broader sector, that affect the value of the stock, with the ability to accurately predict and identify significant market sector trends and events.
- Independently conduct road shows and one-on-one meetings, attend investor conferences, and represent the company at industry and investor events.
- Perform a comprehensive competitive analysis, to understand investor and analyst perceptions and market positioning. Develop and monitor performance metrics for the investor relations function.
- Enhance the understanding, image and reputation of the brand and its leadership through media and public relations, highlighting the company’s priorities, initiatives, and governance.
- Maintain compliance with corporate governance principles and regulations through collaboration with legal and relevant teams.
- Conduct educational initiatives to enhance the understanding of the company's business model, industry dynamics, and growth prospects among investors and analysts.
- Act as spokesperson for day-to-day engagement with investor and analyst community and represent the company at conferences, as needed.
What You've Done
- Bring 7+ years of experience in investor relations preferably working within or covering high growth marketplace, technology, or experiential industries.
- Have deep investor relations experience and broad industry knowledge, with the ability to clearly communicate company information to investors, analysts, and stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience managing proactive corporate communications, with a strong reputation for integrity, transparency, and follow-through, and the ability to respond quickly and effectively as needed.
- Passion for building the IR practice, and strong familiarity with the processes and systems leveraged in best[1]in-class investor relations departments.
- Ability to forge long term trusted relationships quickly and effectively. Able to establish credibility with senior leaders, particularly the executive team.
- Speak confidently and credibly about the company’s priorities and initiatives, providing investors and analysts with clear and appropriate access to executive leadership.
- Readily interact with and support C-suite executives, including accompanying the CEO and CFO to investor/analyst conferences, and planning and producing investor events such as an Analyst Day.
- Superior problem solving and project management skills; demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and collaborate within cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment; Superb written and verbal communication skills.

The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
