Group Nine Media is currently seeking a Social Media Buying Manager to oversee delivery, fulfillment and reconciliation of social advertising campaigns. This role will report to the Director of Paid Strategy on the Distribution team and will directly manage a team of 3-4 paid social media strategists. The Social Delivery Manager will work with several Group Nine teams, including ad operations and media delivery, advertising sales, audience development, and the Content Studio (Alchemy at Group Nine). He/she/they has complete knowledge of and passion for the social branded content and paid distribution landscape; is fluent in social analytics, media math and media delivery tactics; and is a proactive, enthusiastic self-starter.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 3-4 social buyers who execute paid social buying across platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat and Pinterest
  • Oversee the overall pacing, delivery and fulfillment of multiple branded content campaigns at once across several platforms including, but not limited to, CPM-, CPV-, CPC- and CPM-based buys
  • Identify, raise and offer solutions for any delivery constraints (under-pacing, audience overlap in auction environments, bidding or inventory constraints) and problem-solve with internal teams
  • Advise media planning team on available inventory, flighting and rates during the RFP and pitch process
  • In conjunction with Ad Operations team, oversee the implementation of any and all tracking tags (1x1, impression pixels, click trackers) for social media placements and coordinate, if/when necessary, with third-party vendors to provide reporting
  • Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly or as-needed client- and agency-facing social delivery reports using a combination of Group Nine- and third-party-provided templates
  • Manage end-of-month reconciliation and delivery process in partnership with Ad Operations and Finance for all branded campaigns in Salesforce, accurately tracking and reporting on delivery against media plan guarantees

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years working in paid social media or social analytics at a brand, publisher, agency, or similar
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Strong knowledge of and familiarity with paid social tactics, bidding & optimization models, 3rd-party tracking, audience targeting, and ad formats
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to comfortably report on large data sets without error in an efficient and timely manner under very tight deadlines
  • Proven track record of managing and executing paid social campaigns using native platform tools such as Facebook Ads Manager/Power Editor, Google AdWords, Twitter Ads
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Salesforce a huge plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (experience with client-facing communication a plus)
