Social Finance, LLC seeks Software Engineer, Money in Seattle, WA:
Job Duties: Deliver resilient and scalable code. Participate in code and design reviews.
Communicate engineering concepts and efforts with outside stakeholders in product marketing,
operations, business, legal, and compliance. Work in a fast-moving, highly-collaborative
environment across multiple offices. Analyze existing services and include required metrics or
alerts for more robust services. Design, develop and implement new services for real-time or
batch processing. Provide new features to the end user. Provide mentorship to new team
members. Identify growth opportunities or new features for the end user. Support existing
services with automated monitoring tools and provide the expertise to minimize the impact in
case of services failure. Ensure compliance with user data personal identifiable information.
Telecommuting is an option.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and three (3) years of
experience in the job offered or in any occupation in a related field.
Special Skill Requirements: (1) Java (3 years of exp required); (2) MongoDB (1 year of exp
required); (3) Spring (2 years of exp required); (4) Scrum (2 years of exp required); (5)
Unix/Linux (1 year of exp required); (6) Kafka (2 years of exp required); (7) SQL (2 years of exp
required); and (8) GIT (2 years of exp required). Any suitable combination of education, training
and/or experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option.
