Sr. Front End Engineer (React/Javascript)

Role & Responsibilities:
WayUp is at a pivotal point in its development. Now experiencing its most rapid growth to date, the company needs a Front-End Engineer. We're looking for someone who is as obsessed with user experience as we are! We care a TON about design and we take a very thoughtful approach to React. As we continue to expand and add new products, you will completely own your product and be empowered to make the major front-end architectural decisions that go with releasing any product. You'll get the opportunity to work on a wide range of technologies, including React Native, and to work on all types of features, ranging from front-end architecture to data science.
Requirements:
- Bachelors and/or Masters in Computer Science/Engineering or related field, or significant work experience
- 4+ years in software development or related field
- ~2+ years of professional experience building large React applications
- Attention to detail
Great to have:
- Experience using React Native
- Built and scaled Redux-powered applications
- Snapshot testing with tools like Jest
- Other browser based testing tools like Selenium/Ghost Inspector
- Some backend experience, specifically in Python and Django
- Have participated in performance optimization exercises
- An eye for design
