About the Company

Tabs is the leading AI-native revenue platform for modern finance and accounting teams. Tabs agents automates the entire contract-to-cash lifecycle, including billing, collections, revenue recognition, and reporting, to help teams eliminate manual work and accelerate cash flow.

High-growth companies like Cursor and Statsig rely on Tabs to generate invoices directly from contracts, reconcile payments in real time, and automate ASC 606 compliance.

Founded in 2023, Tabs has raised over $91 million from Lightspeed Venture Partners, General Catalyst, and Primary. The team is headquartered in New York and brings deep expertise in finance and AI.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to lead the next phase of Tabs’ infrastructure evolution. You’ll own the reliability, scalability, and performance of our platform across AWS and Vercel while driving long-term architectural decisions and mentoring a growing team of engineers.

As one of the most senior members of the engineering organization, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation of Tabs’ cloud systems, observability strategy, deployment automation, and incident management processes.

How We Work

  • We move fast. One-week sprints, tight feedback loops, and a relentless focus on shipping value.

  • We think holistically. Customer-first decision making, informed by data and product intuition.

  • We collaborate deeply. In-office culture built around whiteboards, fast iteration, and cross-functional partnership. Daily meal and coffee stipends when in the office.

What You’ll Do

  • Own Tabs’ reliability roadmap end to end, from designing high-availability systems to implementing best-in-class incident response practices.

  • Architect and scale reliable, secure, and performant cloud systems across AWS (ECS, EC2, RDS, S3) and Vercel.

  • Design, implement, and maintain observability systems leveraging Datadog, OpenTelemetry, and structured logging to provide actionable insights across the stack.

  • Drive CI/CD maturity through automation, testing, and deployment frameworks (GitHub Actions, Terraform).

  • Partner with engineering and product leadership to set company-level reliability targets and operational SLAs.

  • Mentor engineers and influence culture, embedding SRE best practices across product and platform teams.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives around performance optimization, cost efficiency, and scalability as we grow 10x in data and customer footprint.

  • Contribute to long-term architectural strategy including multi-region deployments, container orchestration, and service reliability frameworks.

About You

  • 10+ years of experience in Site Reliability, Infrastructure, or DevOps Engineering at scale.

  • Proven track record designing and running production systems in AWS or equivalent public cloud environments.

  • Deep expertise in infrastructure as code (Terraform or similar) and modern CI/CD pipelines.

  • Advanced knowledge of observability, monitoring, and incident response systems (Datadog, OpenTelemetry, PagerDuty, etc.).

  • Experience architecting high-availability, distributed systems and automating infrastructure for performance and resiliency.

  • Strong programming fundamentals; you can code in at least one backend language (Python, Go, or TypeScript preferred).

  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, able to influence across teams and drive alignment on complex technical initiatives.

  • Passion for mentoring, technical leadership, and building scalable engineering cultures.

Perks and Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and equity

  • 100% coverage for healthcare (Medical, Dental, and Vision)

  • 401(k) plan

  • Daily meal and coffee stipend for in-office days

  • Tax-free commuter benefits
