Strategy & Ops Intern (NYU student)

Sailor Health is on a mission to solve the mental health crisis among older adults. In the United States, older adults have the highest suicide rates of any age group yet receive the least mental health care. By 2030, over 65 million seniors will make up nearly a quarter of the U.S. population, creating one of the largest and most urgent challenges in healthcare.

Sailor is building the AI-native platform for senior mental health, connecting older adults, therapists, healthcare professionals, and insurance plans. Our operating system powers seamless care coordination, real-time clinical insights, and insurance billing - enabling therapists to spend more time delivering compassionate care.

We are backed by the founders of Ramp, Headway, and Nourish. Launched earlier this year, we’re already at 7 figures of revenue run-rate and doubling every 75 days!

Location: Soho, New York City, in office, 1 day a week.

Pay: $30 per hour

As an Operations Intern at Sailor Health, you’ll play a vital role in the heartbeat of our day-to-day execution. This is a unique opportunity to get hands-on experience inside a fast-growing, mission-driven healthcare startup.

In this role, you will:

• Support day-to-day operations and office tasks across the Sailor Health team

• Work closely with leadership on ad-hoc projects and process improvements

• Assist with mail operations and workflows as we expand into new states

• Support revenue collection by helping with insurance billing tasks and learning how Medicare claims and payments work

• Gain exposure to how a fast-growing healthcare startup operates

• Currently enrolled at or recently graduated from NYU (undergraduate or graduate)

• Strong academic track record and intellectual curiosity

• Excited to learn, take initiative, and contribute in a fast-paced startup environment

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through

• Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to “roll up your sleeves” to get things done

• Bonus: Experience with data analysis (R/Python) or strong spreadsheet skills
