mParticle is growing and is seeking a Technical Services Engineer – Data Systems

We're looking for a talented and technically well-rounded person who loves to tackle complex problems.

As a Technical Services Engineer (SQL), you will work within the Client Solutions Group and work closely with mParticle's Engineering and Customer Success teams in providing world-class service to our customers. You will be working with various data sources and oftentimes working with large scale raw data and will come up with insights and guidelines to ensure clients’ success. 

This will be a hands-on technical services engineering role that will give you the opportunity to interact with some of the best minds and technology stacks in the mobile app business. You will become an expert in end-to-end data pipeline at mParticle and a key person in ensuring data integrity in data flows. Your work will be meaningful and will have a strong impact on mParticle and our clients’ success.

Finally, we are seeking someone who wants to be a major contributor in a small, dynamic work environment, loves a challenge, and has a strong balance of technical and people skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as the main point of contact for all data related client issues and ad-hoc needs

Provide data support to ensure client facing issues are resolved in a timely and accurate manner

Identify patterns and outliers in data to help with client issues, and potentially automate the process

Must handle raw data responsibly and securely

Assist with testing new product features

Desired Experience

1-3 years’ professional hands on experience

Proven record of working with large scale data, especially data with sensitive information

Strong knowledge of databases and SQL. Experience with cloud databases like

Redshift and BigQuery is desired

Troubleshooting skills using data to find anomalies and test hypotheses

Programming experience and understanding of programming concepts

A natural problem solver

Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience communicating technical information to non-technical people

Ability to effectively communicate with third-party technical and sales teams
