The Technical Project Manager will work to coordinate the efforts of the Communications, HR, Information Systems and Security teams in the configuration and implementation of VICE's intranet. You will lead development efforts including functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, and defining support procedures. The TPM will make sure that a project plan is developed and adhered to and that teams are kept abreast of updates in all functional areas by all teams. The TPM is responsible to Foster teamwork and facilitate discussion and conflict resolution between and within teams. Where and when necessary, the TPM will also assist in the evaluation of new tools and services to support the project. This person will also work closely with the PMO, Project Managers and global SMEs to enable the successful execution of the program. This a a temporary position. 

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate regular meetings with the Project Team, InfoSys and InfoSec to gather business requirements, coordinate project deliveries and course-correct as needed.
  • Direct the integration for the intranet with the HCM, SSO, and relevant applications
  • Develop and implement best practices around a global communications platform for VICE employees.
  • Enforce processes by holding individual team members accountable for their responsibilities and commitments. Document, communicate, and evaluate process changes.
  • Document planning, design & retrospective meetings with the relevant teams to provide transparency and progress updates.
  • Develop training materials and webinars, and train staff/consultants on new and existing VICE’s production management features
  • Communicate potential blockers or delays. Assess roadblocks and problem situations to identify root causes and work with stakeholders to come up with a resolution or recommendation.
  • Report on progress of the agile iterations as well as overall reporting meaningful to business stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Good mix of both business and technical background to be able to effectively interact/assist with different teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience interacting with both business and IT teams.
  • 3+ years experience gathering and authoring business process workflows and requirements for system design and integrations
  • 3+ years of relevant agile project management experience for a SaaS solution.
  • Knowledge and Experience with Agile Project Management methodology and tools such as JIRA.
  • Ability to provide technical translation of systems and related communications and workflows for general, non-technical audience
  • Experience with quality assurance testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and related scripting and bug reporting procedures
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Outstanding technical and software troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Desired Skills:

  • Preference to those who have experience in implementing from scratch
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM, RUP, other).
