FanDuel is the pioneer of online daily fantasy sports, one of the fastest growing sectors of the sports and entertainment industry. We’re a household name in the US and we’re recognized as one of Scotland’s two unicorn companies, valued at more than $1 billion. Since our launch in 2009, we’ve been disrupting the sports entertainment industry and changing the way millions of people experience sports.

Here at FanDuel we're committed to creating industry-leading sports products that users find engaging and exciting. The Turbo team is working on a new real-time game format, representing the next generation of casual fantasy sports. We released NBA InPlay for the 2016-17 season and are looking to expand the team for next season. We’re a small team, a startup within a startup, with the mission of exploring this emerging style of gameplay.

What we're looking for in you

Leadership

As a UI/UX Designer, you will drive creative vision and user experience for our games. You will communicate with, inspire and motivate all levels of staff in an agile environment, including highly capable product designers and business stakeholders. You will ask challenging questions and guide the team toward solutions, while being empathetic.

Great attention to detail

Lots of little things add up to big things. It's important that you sweat the details and craft elegant, and compelling designs. Ultimately we ask that anyone can look at their own work and confidently say that they're proud of it.

Consideration of the experience

It's important that you think beyond the basic aesthetics and really understand any problem you're trying to solve. Journeys, discoverability, and affordance should be concepts you live and breathe.

Previous native experience

The majority of our users are mobile based, so it's important you understand the iOS and Android platforms inside out, and know when it's right to use an existing native pattern versus something more bespoke.

Thinking beyond the static

How do your designs come to life? We believe in dynamic, engaging interfaces where animation is used in a graceful fashion to enhance a user's experience and add intent to our interactions.

Maintaining a consistent visual language

The Turbo team is young, but our games are growing quickly. As we add new features, we must maintain the general consistency and cohesion of the visual language. You’ll be instrumental in developing a strategy that is flexible enough to grow with the product itself.

What to include

  • Show us what you're good at. Include work you think best showcases your skillset.
  • Have any online profiles that you think will help? Include those too. We're thinking Dribbble, Behance, anything along those lines.

What you get in return

Beyond working with such a great team?

  • An exciting environment with real growth
  • Contribute to exciting products used by a highly passionate user base
  • Personal learning and development opportunities
  • Unlimited vacation allowance
  • 401K plan
  • 100% coverage of health insurance premiums
  • Stock Options

There's more, but we don't want to go on and on.

FanDuel is an equal opportunities employer. Diversity and inclusion in FanDuel means that we respect and value everyone as individuals. We don't tolerate bias, judgement or harassment. Our focus is on developing employees so that they reach their full potential.
