The Role:

As the Vice President of Advertising Sales, North America, you will be responsible for leading our programmatic self-serve and managed service sales efforts, driving revenue growth, and forging strategic partnerships with advertisers and agencies. You will play a crucial role in shaping our sales strategy, identifying new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales team to exceed revenue targets and drive business growth.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand our market presence, increase client acquisition, and maximize revenue opportunities within the sports advertising ecosystem.
  • Business Development: Identify and cultivate relationships with key advertisers, agencies, and trading desks to drive new business opportunities and secure long-term partnerships.
  • Revenue Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, marketing, and operations to optimize revenue streams, enhance product offerings, and deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of advertisers.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive developments, and emerging technologies in sports advertising to inform strategic decision-making and maintain our competitive edge.
  • Client Engagement: Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients, serving as a strategic advisor and understanding their business objectives to deliver tailored advertising solutions that drive results.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Utilize data-driven insights and analytics to track sales performance, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and identify areas for improvement or optimization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in advertising sales, with a proven track record of driving revenue growth and building successful sales teams within the digital advertising industry.
  • Deep understanding of the sports media landscape, including familiarity with sports publishers, leagues, teams, and fan demographics.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, foster a culture of collaboration, and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and build rapport with clients at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies, identify market opportunities, and drive business growth.
  • Proficiency in sales CRM systems, ad tech platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, with a passion for innovation, continuous learning, and driving change in the advertising industry.


What’s in it for you?

The salary for this role is based on an annualized salary of up to $160,000 to $190,000 per annum plus commission. This role will also be eligible to take part in Genius Sports Group's benefits plan.
