About this role
BlackRock’s Global Fixed Income team (“GFI”) offers an array of products designed to meet specific client risk and return profiles. The business applies fundamental investment styles and strategies to generate alpha for clients across asset classes and global markets. We are seeking to hire an experienced professional to help drive our commercial strategy efforts. Successful candidates will have exceptional skills in asset raising, marketing strategy, communication, and an knowledge of the Alternative Investments ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Support engagement with clients, prospects and consultants and effectively communicate the investment philosophy, capabilities and performance of our GFI business.
- In partnership with internal sales teams, support the execution of the GFI distribution strategy, including client segmentation, and positioning strategies relative to those of competitors.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and opportunities for growth, providing insights and recommendations to drive sales.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all sales activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies, managing risks associated with fixed income investments.
- Partner with relationship managers in the client business to provide coordinated support for sales opportunities. This includes preparing meeting materials, gathering critical client background information ahead of client engagement, liaising with clients by phone and over email, participating in portfolio review meetings/calls and product pitches, following-up from meetings and diligence, and contributing to the positioning of GFI’s products in RFP responses.
- Provide support to ensure the operating model works efficiently across the distribution lifecycle and work with key stakeholders to put the right infrastructure in place to support future growth.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years proven experience successfully raising assets in the Alternative Investments space.
- Understanding of the needs of a broad range of clients across institutional channels, including corporates, public pensions, endowments and foundations, and family offices.
- Strong knowledge of fixed income securities, bond pricing, yield analysis, and the ability to explain these concepts clearly to clients.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain investment concepts and strategies to internal partners and clients.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to fixed income investments.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certifications (such as CFA) are preferred but not essential.
