OVERVIEW

Vice Media is seeking a full-time weekend editor in our Brooklyn, NY office. Main duties include writing, commissioning, and editing content to populate VICE.com each weekend. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have a wide base of knowledge and interests spanning the variety of topics VICE.com covers. Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure are essential.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Commissioning, editing, and writing timely editorial content
• Proofreading and copy-editing website content
• Curating the homepage with content from around the VICE universe
• Managing contributors
• Working with the editorial team to develop new weekend-only franchises and strategies
• As needed, helping operate VICE’s social feeds on Saturday and Sunday

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least two years of editing experience at a major magazine or website
