Description

Rent the Runway aims to become "the Amazon prime of rental.” Now valued at $1 billion, the female-founded digitally native company has dramatically impacted how people shop.

What began in 2009 as a rental service for occasion dresses has transformed into a full-scale empire of everyday fashion, bags, and accessories. In the last 3 years, the company has gone from dressing members less than 3 days a year to 1/3 of the year. And with partnerships ranging from WeWork to West Elm, the brand shows no signs of slowing its retail takeover.

As Chief Technology Officer & Head Of Product, Joshua Builder is architecting a technology and product platform designed around the customer that can scale to meet rapid growth demands. Joshua is no stranger to leading and building engineering teams, having previously held leadership positions at Soulcycle, Sony, and T-Mobile. At Rent The Runway he’s responsible for the end-to-end experience, overseeing Product Management, Engineering, Data Science, Logistics, and Retail.

Join us on May 21 for a special Q&A that offers an inside look into life at a “unicorn.”

This conversation will be moderated by Jon Stookey, Director of Strategy at Work & Co, who’s helped a range of brands achieve premium, personalized digital experiences including Equinox, Coach, and Mercedes-Benz. Jon will lead Joshua in a candid discussion about the Rent the Runway customer, new product offerings for its 9 million members, and tips for growing the best technology teams.
