On June 26th, come to Startup Grind NYC to meet John Owen, Angel Investor, member of Golden Seeds, New York Angels and the Angel Investor Forum.  His specific areas of angel investing interest are clean energy, medical devices and travel.

He served as Treasurer and later VP of Operations Planning and Analysis at Southwest Airlines. He was also the founding EVP and CFO of JetBlue Airways, where, in addition to responsibility for aircraft acquisitions and the finance function, he later added oversight of IT and Supply Chain. After departing JetBlue, he served as CFO of Volotea, working in a small team to refine the business plan and financial model, select the appropriate aircraft, negotiate the aircraft leases and successfully raise 65 million Euros of equity financing. There will be a lot to discuss about what makes for a good, fundable product during this fireside chat.
