This is Public’s third round of funding in a matter of months, bringing its total capital raised to $310 million. The company says the money will be used to scale its platform to keep up with surging demand, as well as roll out new features.
“The stock market has historically been an intimidating place reserved for a lucky few,” says pro skater and Public investor Tony Hawk. “As technology continues to disrupt barriers, Public.com is creating a platform that makes investing accessible to everyone.”
Public lets users buy partial stocks, so they can invest in their favorite companies regardless of price. The company just closed on a $15 million Series B.
