Shutterstock (NYSE: SSTK) is looking for an accounting professional ready to make a big impact, grow their career, and leave their mark! The position calls for an experienced individual who is both hands-on and ready to be strategic.This position requires a highly motivated individual who is comfortable with rapid changes in direction and environment.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
- Ensure the accuracy of all monthly financial information.
- Manage month-close process, including review of balance sheet reconciliations, analytics, controls, etc.
- Assist in monitoring and improving internal controls.
- Assist/Point of contact for quarterly reviews and financial statement YE audit.
- Assist/Point of contact for statutory audits of international subsidiaries.
- Review of financial statement consolidation and ensure accuracy of all subsidiaries.
- Review of all month-close general journal entries for posting.
- Assist in daily banking/treasury functions, as required.
- Assist with monthly/quarterly reports and analyses to various departments and business units.
- Support budget and forecasting activities.
- Assist in special projects and workflow process improvements.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
- Public Accounting experience is required
- Strong understanding of accounting theory
- CPA required
- 6+ years accounting/finance experience
PREFFERRED SKILLS
- Highly detail oriented and organized in work
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines
- Ability to be pro-active and a problem solver
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- WorkDay financial experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently to accomplish objectives
- Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management.
