Shutterstock (NYSE: SSTK) is looking for an accounting professional ready to make a big impact, grow their career, and leave their mark! The position calls for an experienced individual who is both hands-on and ready to be strategic.This position requires a highly motivated individual who is comfortable with rapid changes in direction and environment.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all monthly financial information.
  • Manage month-close process, including review of balance sheet reconciliations, analytics, controls, etc.
  • Assist in monitoring and improving internal controls.
  • Assist/Point of contact for quarterly reviews and financial statement YE audit.
  • Assist/Point of contact for statutory audits of international subsidiaries.
  • Review of financial statement consolidation and ensure accuracy of all subsidiaries.
  • Review of all month-close general journal entries for posting.
  • Assist in daily banking/treasury functions, as required.
  • Assist with monthly/quarterly reports and analyses to various departments and business units.
  • Support budget and forecasting activities.
  • Assist in special projects and workflow process improvements.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Public Accounting experience is required
  • Strong understanding of accounting theory
  • CPA required
  • 6+ years accounting/finance experience

 

PREFFERRED SKILLS

  • Highly detail oriented and organized in work
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines
  • Ability to be pro-active and a problem solver
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • WorkDay financial experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work independently to accomplish objectives
  • Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management.
