Flatiron Health supports our Life Sciences partners with both Data and Analytics (D&A) and Point of Care (POC) offerings. Our Data and Analytics group is seeking an individual with an outcomes research background and client-facing experience who is excited about changing the world of oncology. We’re looking for someone that can represent the company as a clinical data and product expert to our life science partners. This job requires a foundational expertise in outcomes research as well as client management and organizational skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for tackling one of the most complex medical and technological challenges of our time.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as an outcomes research expert, interfacing with our life science partners to align Flatiron's offerings with research needs and selling new projects and services to meet those needs (e.g., refine client’s research questions, translating client’s needs for handoff to internal delivery teams)
  • Develop and manage relationships with medical groups (and commercial groups) within our life science partners to advance the integration of our products through demonstrated value
  • In coordination with our life sciences delivery teams, ensure all existing contractual milestones are achieved
  • Collaborate and reliably share feedback from life science accounts that you manage with Flatiron’s team of product managers, quantitative scientists, engineers, oncologists, business development leaders, and other cross-functional colleagues
  • Closely partner with our Accounts’ Principals to execute against Flatiron’s Life Sciences sales strategy to drive explosive growth but does not include the execution of the research projects
  • Spearhead new business proposal writing, development of client presentations, and tailoring of other client facing materials
  • Actively seek out knowledge sharing opportunities with your Accounts team colleagues
  • Be the day-to-day communication point person, including on-site representation at client meetings (anticipated travel: 20-40%, including local day trips to client sites)
Requirements:
  • You have a MS or PhD (or equivalent) in biostatistics, epidemiology, health economics or related discipline with 4+ years of work experience (excluding post doctorate) in client-facing roles of increasing responsibility, delivering products or services to life science partners
  • You have performed advanced professional analytical work in surveillance, detection, and prevention of diseases; health outcomes analyses; biostatistics; longitudinal data analyses; or other expert quantitative areas pertinent to health (which is supported by a strong publication record)
  • You can apply your outcomes research background (preferably including a focus on cancer) to support end-to-end client engagement process, including capabilities presentations, project scoping, and customer support
  • You have experience utilizing data and partnering with life science companies, and are comfortable presenting to every level of the client’s organization, including senior management
  • You have a deep understanding of data and the competitive landscape in the bio-pharmaceutical market
  • You are flexible, have a start-up mindset, and enjoy a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment
  • You have the ability to juggle multiple client interactions and deadlines simultaneously and the versatility to collaborate with individuals at all levels and across various functions within life sciences companies
  • You have exceptional written and communication skills and experience owning high profile client relationships
  • You have the agility to work across teams and develop internal relationships, including business development, quantitative sciences, engineering, medical oncology, delivery and product management
  • You embrace use of new software applications with a command of MS Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
  • You must be data-driven, detail-oriented, proactive, self-motivated, self-directed, engaging, personable, have a positive attitude, and thrive in highly uncertain situations

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working with alternative data sources (and an ability to speak to the benefits of Flatiron’s data offerings first-hand) -- e.g., claims, chart review, other EMR data
