SUMMARY

Away is seeking a razor-sharp Associate, Product Development to drive our product expansion beyond luggage. The right candidate is excited to work at a venture-backed consumer brand. They will support all aspects of bringing new products to market. This will cover the product development lifecycle, timelines and project tracking, sourcing and interfacing with factories and product testing. A successful candidate will be energetic, ambitious, detail-oriented and self-motivated and have a passion for travel. This role is based out of our headquarters in NoHo, New York City and reports to our Head of Product Development

What you'll do

• Track and organize samples
• Track development and production timelines
• Communicate daily with manufacturers and design team to ensure product specifications, quality standards and deadlines are met
• Create and maintain costing tables. Land costs accordingly

Who you are

• Have 1-2 years of work experience in a product-development and/or merchandising role
• Experienced with product lifecycle management programs
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Hyper-organized and excited to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Able to communicate effectively with internal teams and factories
• Strong work ethic and a can-do attitude
• Thrives on meeting tight deadlines in a very fast-paced environment
• Enjoys working with cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in Mandarin valuable but not essential
• Hold a bachelor’s degree from a top university
• Love to travel and have a great sense of humor
