Business Operations Assistant
DESCRIPTION
Away is seeking an highly organized Business Operations Assistant to join our Operations team. The ideal candidate will be the right hand person for our VP of Finance, Operations and Retail, helping her keep Away running like a well oiled machine. This will include a wide array of responsibilities ranging from joining and taking notes in key vendor meetings, managing our employee database, helping get new stores open, and more. Most importantly, he/she will build relationships throughout the organization to ensure that all things Business Operations are running smoothly. This person will have the opportunity to make a sizable impact by ensuring that the company’s operations run smoothly, and will have the opportunity to work directly with and learn from a key company leader. This role will report to the VP of Finance, Operations & Retail, and is based at our HQ in Noho, NYC.
What you’ll do:
- Anticipate needs of our VP of Finance, Operations and Retail before and during each workday
- Work with the Operations team, Finance team, Retail team and CEO to help make the company work run like a well oiled machine
- Manage employee database, IT vendors, and other operational vendors and partners
- Take on an array of special projects as initiatives come on, including around new store openings, international expansion, and new vendors and partners
- Interact with colleagues across the company to help keep things running smoothly
