Like living the luxe life for less? Obsessed with social media, personal finance, coaching a blogger and working with personal finance content?

We're looking for an editor to focus on promoting The Cashlorette brand and personality. You must have experience working on Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram and must have a desire to be on the cutting edge of audience development.

Our ideal candidate understands the types of stories The Cashlorette tells and can help marry voice with vision. We're looking for an amazing editor who has great writing, editing and people skills, and who wants to develop a startup brand into a mainstream and social media influencer. This is an important lead editor position -- innovating with and managing The Cashlorette, a millennial blogger writing about big financial topics for a younger, female audience.

Do you have experience editing content for consumers, innovating award-winning stories and projects and growing an email subscriber base? Familiar with editing for search optimization and creating content for PR (which is a must)? If so, let's talk!

The position will be based in New York City.

About the Role:

  • Pitch and assign story ideas with viral potential.
  • Manage, coordinate and edit all coverage from The Cashlorette.
  • Meet monthly goals for organic growth by pitching, testing, implementing and iterating with the social team.
  • Meet monthly traffic goals on a variety of platforms, including but not limited to Facebook.
  • Manage production of The Cashlorette and collaborate with Social and PR teams on angle, positioning, voice, and distribution plans.
  • Understand SEO value and employ best practices for SEO.
  • Create content for one-off features and special requests as needed by Sales.

About You:

  • Knowledgeable of the personal finance and news industries.
  • Thorough understanding of business topics.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years' experience working as a social media editor.
  • Fluent in Social media.
