Community Intern
BuzzFeed is looking for a creative, highly organized, Internet-savvy badass to help our community team moderate user posts/comments/feedback, grow and coordinate crowdsourced content, and generate cool projects. This is a full-time paid position in the New York office available to start immediately.
Responsibilities:
- Moderate Community posts and get rid of jerks, spammers, and trolls
- Handle user feedback and low-level community support emails
- Write and produce viral, crowdsourced posts for BuzzFeed Community
- Generate ideas for new Community features and post formats
- Track crowdsourced posts from BuzzFeed editorial staff and coordinate pitches
- Help assist the Community team with any administrative or organizational duties
Requirements:
- High emotional intelligence
- Extremely organized and efficient
- The ability to take perspective of others
- A positive, curious, playful disposition (no haters)
- A competitive drive — you enjoy winning, really going for it
- A genuine, wide-eyed love of pop culture in all its forms
- No haters!
