Data is at the core of everything we do, and we’re looking for someone who’s hungry, isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty, enjoys learning, and is a good communicator and listener. Our analysts are empowered with a wide range of responsibilities working with key areas of the organization to best leverage data, tools, and technology to drive efficiencies throughout the company.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and onboard / ingest new data sets
- Act as the first line of intel for new data by performing data profiling and data quality checks
- Facilitate the production of data pipelines into our analytics environment
- Product outstanding reference documentation to highlight and describe the data you’ve helped vet
- Respond to adhoc reporting requests and identify areas to drive self-service
- Data and Code Checks: everything we do is with integrity, and while getting something wrong isn’t the end of the world, we strive to provide the best intelligence from the get go
- Partner with product managers to understand how people are using our products
- Partner with engineering to drive and assist with proper data collection and processing
Qualifications:
- SQL is a must, bonus points for experience with Redshift and noSQL databases
- Some programming experience like Python, Java, or Scala
- Understanding of software development and databases
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
- Strong bias to action and eagerness for ownership
- Excellent communication skills and desire to maintain strong ties across the organization
- Curiosity and an inner drive to learn
