Force Therapeutics is changing how patients worldwide recover from injury and surgery. Our customers include the largest hospital systems in the US and internationally​,​ who use our technology to manage patients’ recovery. The platform is on track to quadruple our customer base in the coming year. In anticipation of this growth, we are looking to scale our capacity and expand our engineering resources.

Position 

Our New York-based team is passionate and diverse, collaborative and energized. We are looking to add an experienced DevOps engineer who can help extend our existing platform, develop innovative features and partner integrations, as well as scaling out horizontally to accommodate growth in our user base.

Responsibilities 

• Manage the AWS cloud infrastructure — maintenance and monitoring. 
  
• Continuously improve the tools and processes for deployment, orchestration, and provisioning. 
  
• Maintain, scale, and distribute critical systems such as databases and queues. 
  
• Stay on top of system security policies, HIPAA compliance, vulnerabilities, and cloud platform announcements. 
  
• Manage backups and disaster recovery, including backup monitoring and verification, and leading restoration tests and disaster recovery drills.
  

Qualifications 

• Strong programming skills, especially in dynamic languages such as Python, Perl, or JavaScript. Other languages are a plus. 
  
• Systems background or interest, with a focus on Linux and networking. 
  
• Experience managing Amazon Web Services, EC2, RDS, etc. 
  
• Familiarity with configuration management. 
  
• Exposure to Redis, MySQL, Nginx. 
  
• Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in engineering.
  
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience. 
  
• Bonus points: Exposure to orchestration or containerization.
