Director, Abstraction Process Operations
Abstraction is a key process carried out by a highly specialized team that extracts complex clinical insights from real world data using advanced technology. The Director, Process Operations will be responsible for analyzing, redesigning and implementing business processes to enable mission-critical scalability and quality improvement across the abstraction team.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, document, and measure existing processes end-to-end and determine opportunities for efficiency and quality gain
- Design process and/or technology solutions to significantly improve the efficiency and quality
- Quantify the value/gain and investment needed for each solution and lead prioritization discussions across functional business leaders
- Develop and maintain the roadmap for process changes and be accountable for the timeline and success of process improvement
- Co-lead technical implementation and change management with operations and engineering teams
- Develop comprehensive and effective performance metrics and dashboards to inform discussions and decisions about performance management, scaling strategy, investment prioritization, etc.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 5-7+ years in roles with a functional focus on process improvement (e.g., business process redesign/reengineering, Lean operations, Six Sigma, other leading industry approaches)
- Knowledge and experience in operations related or similar to: supply chain optimization, warehouse management, or call center operations, customer service, helpdesk operations/ticket triage with a focus on process redesign
- Skilled in using industry standard tools to map, document and analyze complex business processes
- Creative and practical problem solving skills to design and pressure test solutions to improve and/or automate the process
- Ability to assess and quantify the value, investment and risks of process improvement initiatives
- Effective and structured communication, storytelling and stakeholder engagement skills; an ability to lead discussions across a broad internal audience
- Experience in taking a user-centric and value-driven approach to designing process improvements, performance metrics and dashboards/visualizations
- Ability to constantly prioritize and deliver on time and think at the goal level
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment
