Mic is expanding its talent-focused content video offering and looking for a creative Director/Editor to join the Voices team in the NYC studio. The Director/Editor will execute productions, ranging from ongoing series to one-off videos, from concept to completion. They will contribute to crafting dynamic, impactful videos that balance humor and message for each personality on the roster.

Key Responsibilities

• Shooting, Directing and Editing Mic’s original personality series, comedy sketches, and one-offs
• Assist with creative direction and expertise across all areas of video from pre to post production
• Ideate new ideas that balance comedy with message, and within reason for a day-to-day production
• Support writers with feedback/notes on scripts and help push the ideas in scripts to their best result

Qualifications

• 3+ years shooting, directing and editing comedy and internet-styled productions
• Demonstrated understanding of comedy and how to take complicated concepts and make them fun
• Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently across multiple projects under tight deadlines and manage expectations of all stakeholders
• Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and work as a team player
• Strong creative vision and ability to articulate your vision to other team members
• Proficient with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
