Spotify is seeking a dedicated and career driven Director of finance business transformation to run our Project Management office. We are looking for a transformational leader who will assist in the design/redesign of existing complex technical, managerial and financial systems in a growing, fast paced and rapidly changing environment.

What you’ll do

This role is responsible for managing the delivery of multiple projects and coordination with different stakeholders. It creates structured schedules and project plans based on the project goals, resources needed, potential risks, time to market and budget constraints. By partnering with colleagues in different roles to assess the workloads and impacts for different departments, the Director of finance business transformation is able to identify dependencies and possible issues across teams. Foster proper communication within the team and outside the organization plus continue to build and manage his/her team. Serve as the Head of the Project Management office and manage teams of project managers who drives the business transformation projects . Direct and oversee the PMO to ensure Business Transformation programs and projects are aligned with the firm’s strategic objectives and meet organization goals and objectives.

The position will be based in our New York Office.

What you’ll do

  • Manage the business transformation office and the team members
  • Sets standard on how projects are run
  • Gathering of project data and production of information for management review
  • Managing and facilitating the portfolio management process
  • Effectively builds sustainable relationships across the business and accounting/finance department
  • Partner with other leaders of the accounting function and Business IT to design, develop and implement automated systems which support standardized processes
  • Facilitate change management and communication planning activities through project lifecycle
  • Drive regular forums to update business communities and steering committee on progress, status and issues
  • Managed vendor in a Business Process Outsourcing transformation and related contractual agreements
  • Plan, direct and organize in coordination with the Global Process Owners the consistent application of processes/policies/best practices, that will assist the finance organization to run more efficiently and effectively
  • Accountable for the successful implementation of all initiatives, program and changes
  • Responsible for the overall governance of the performance of agreed service by the third party vendor in the BPO model

Who you are

  • Degree in Business or related field
  • Typical relevant experience 7-10 years, including at least 3 years managing large technology engagements within Finance and understanding of full lifecycle implementations in a public company
  • 5+ years of experience in lead role for project planning, delivery and execution required
  • 5+ years formal project management / business analysis experience required
  • Team player at executive level to collaborate with functional partners like IT, HR, finance, legal, Business Development, etcetera
  • Experience in people leadership focused in coaching and developing teams
  • Strong ability to build relationships and networks with multiple functions, regions, and at all levels of the organization
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to transform goals into actionable plans
  • Being adaptive and having the ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment and drive/lead fast-paced execution of the projects
  • Prior successful experience transformations role in large public companies with revenue in excess of $2 billion per year
  • 5+ years of experience in accumulated vendor management experience in an offshore environment supporting a global delivery business
