Refinery 29, Inc. Finance team is seeking a detail oriented and hands-on individual that will provide financial support to company’s video programming team and the video content partnership and distribution (“P&D”) team.

This role will be the finance lead for all matters related to the video content production, content distribution and monetization/distribution of the content on multiple platforms. This role will have extensive interactions with the company’s finance leadership, video programming team and the P&D leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budget and quarterly re-forecasting for video organization and the operating expenses for the P&D team
• Develop and maintain the revenue model for video monetization, including but not limited to, branded content revenue, pre-rolls, sponsorship, and content distribution revenue streams
• Partner with video production management team to develop and maintain an effective process for asset/project based cost budgeting, approval and reporting process; connect this process with the overall monthly financial closing and reporting process
• Provide ongoing financial and reporting support to P&D team with regard to the content distribution (library or original programming) deals
• Provide accounting (revenue recognition and cost recognition) support to the controllership team with regard to video content agreements or deals
• Supervise a staff production accountant and help grow the staff
• Any other FP&A tasks or ad hoc needed as assigned by Finance leadership 

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or economics, CPA big plus
• Excellent Excel and financial modeling skills
• Excellent communication skills, articulates a complex concept or situation effectively
• 7 - 10 years of financial management and budget management experience preferably within digital media industry

• Prior video, film or TV production accounting experience 
• Prior TV/Film/TV distribution financial support experience 
• Experience with NetSuite and/or Host Analytics/Adaptive Planning
