Job Description

  • Form a high-performing team of marketing scientists and analysts to drive data and analytics as a foundational component of a reimagined end to end client experience.
  • Partner with Product Marketing on go-to-market strategy and with Creative/Design for development of marketing collateral
  • Analyze website performance and behavioral flows identifying areas to improve engagement, reduce bounce rate, and understand the customer journey 
  • Set up and manage dynamic reporting analyses that allow Marketing to view performance of tests live in the marketplace and take quick action 
  • Provide insights on desktop vs. mobile experiences and identify ways to optimize the journey by platform
  • Understand and measure all stages of the customer acquisition funnel from awareness to transaction through the development of an attribution model for both online and offline channels
  • Identify ways to improve attribution through oversight of online survey asking customers how they heard about LearnVest
  • Manage tags set up across site and work in conjunction with Marketing to identify new retargeting opportunities based on certain behaviors or actions performed onsite
  • Aid the marketing team with methodology, structure, and analysis of new media/channel tests
  • Partner with the Acquisition and CRM teams to identify ways to optimize each channel based on data insights 
  • Lead Marketing Mix Analysis to inform channel and media strategy and overall budget allocation

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive quantitative analysis to enable omni-channel marketing, acquisition, and servicing strategies.
  • Manage a high-performing team of marketing scientists and analysts to drive data and analytics as a foundational component of a reimagined end to end client experience.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to perform and develop market intelligence, segmentation analysis, audience targeting strategies, and brand measurement strategies. 
  • Leverage analytical methods to optimize marketing spend across SEO, SEM, content, broadcast and social media, e-mail, mobile, display, and terrestrial touch points.
  • Amplify value realization through advanced analytics such as predictive and prescriptive modeling (propensity, cross/up sell, persistency/churn, profitability, risk, retention, etc.)
  • Perform sentiment, attitudinal, behavioral, and psychographic analysis.
  • Partner with data engineering to create a data management platform, design an attribution engine, and to rapidly develop, activate, track, publish, and sustain insights.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators and metrics to drive ongoing investments into data and analytics, optimize marketing spend and the investment within the Marketing & Analytics portfolio. 
  • Report key marketing analytics, tracking and testing data to key stakeholders including providing regular key learnings and insights (trends, patterns, irregularity)
  • Create and maintain daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly campaign performance reports 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience as a Marketing Analyst and/or Data Scientist
  • Expert in SQL, Excel, web analytics tools and various testing platforms including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Optimizely
  • Experience with multi-touch attribution and media mix models, including digital and offline acquisition channels
  • Ability to build strong relationships cross-functionally
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong leadership qualities
  • Strong communication skills and a proven track record of communicating a vision and roadmap along with the resourcing needs to achieve it
  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business or related field, MBA preferred
