As a Technical Program Manager on the JW Player team, you will work across teams in technology and throughout the organization to ensure critical technical initiatives are completed on time. You will work to improve engineering teams efficiencies by anticipating roadblocks, helping to clarify ambiguities or interdependencies, communicating decisions/status/escalations to key stakeholders and put planning/structure around major efforts.

 In this role you will:

• effectively manage cross-functional programs, dependencies and bottlenecks, anticipate and make tradeoff proposals
• work as part of the technology leadership team to serve as a bridge between the technology organization and the business
• help foster constant improvements to maximize engineering efficiency

Requirements:

• 7+ years experience in a large-scale service with teams of 70+ engineers
• Experience developing software or managing servers in a hosted environment
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the company
• Strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills to help drive process improvements and help find answers to business needs
• Ability to adapt easily to a changing landscape of tools, processes, and best practices.
• Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Technical acumen, especially in operating large scale hosted services
• Track record of being detail oriented with a demonstrated ability to self–motivate, motivate others, and follow through on projects
• Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development lifecycle using Agile methodologies
