Job Description

The Entertainment Writer will cover TV, movies, music, books, and all aspects of pop culture. The primary focus of this job is trending news, traffic-driving stories, and second-day pieces that keep the Refinery29 voice and brand in mind.

Responsibilities

• Write five stories per day.
• Maintain an extensive knowledge of trending entertainment news and upcoming pop culture trends.
• Pitch creative and original feature stories on a weekly basis.
• Ability to turn around clean copy in a fast-paced environment.
• Update evergreen slideshows multiple times per day
• Strong editorial voice that upholds the Refinery29 brand and pushes the conversation forward.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2 - 3 years of relevant experience
• Positive, intuitive/proactive, and collaborative team player
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Superior judgment and discretion
