Q is hiring a communications intern to work directly with the Q’s communications lead in telling the company’s story externally. The company is evolving quickly, and this will be a fast-paced role that will give the intern insight into the different aspects of external communications, including media relations, executive communications, messaging strategy, and government relations. This role provides an opportunity to take on substantive projects that will have a real impact on the company.

The ideal candidate would be able to work 40 hours a week, but part-time candidates will be considered. This is a paid internship based in our New York City HQ.

Responsibilities:

• Brainstorm and develop story ideas to pitch to press
• Create reporter lists and draft pitches on issues ranging from workplace trends to labor policy
• Prepare media and policy briefings for the CEO
• Research competitors and track stories that are relevant to the space Q operates in

Requirements:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• A self-starter who can operate autonomously
• An interest in external communication, media relations, and public policy
• Adaptable and willing to handle a fast-paced environment
• Personable, able to work cross-functionally
