The Director is a key member of Intersection’s Finance organization and will lead the planning and analysis function for the Company’s Media business. The Director will also closely partner with internal stakeholders and be responsible for performing business analytics and driving decision support. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be analytical, and be eager to learn about the inner workings and strategy of the businesses supported.

Key Relationships:

The Director will report directly to the Vice President of Media but will be intricately involved across a number of finance functions and business lines to support initiatives driven by Intersection’s Chief Financial Officer. There is a significant amount of senior leadership interaction expected.

What you will accomplish:

• Manage the financial planning & analysis for Intersection Media and provide thought leadership on opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of support
• Oversee the development and maintenance of models used to review financials and perform variance analysis
• Lead ad-hoc financial analyses across the business and categories
• Report on financial and operational performance metrics
• Assist in the development and preparation of the annual business plan
• Partner with senior executives to develop annual budgets and communicate trends to ensure business goals are met in a manner consistent with the overall strategy
• Assess and monitor financial risks & opportunities
• Competitor analysis and market research in relevant technology and advertising verticals

What we are looking for:

• Proven knowledge of financial planning and analysis techniques and best practices
• Demonstrated ability to construct detailed, comprehensive financial models
• Outstanding verbal and written presentation skills and experience presenting analyses to Senior Executives
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (including Pivot tables) and PowerPoint, and Google Docs
• Media and/or Sales sector knowledge / interest a strong plus
• Top tier investment banking, consulting, or other financial modeling-focused experience a strong plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Account, Business, plus related Master’s, is highly preferred
