Your Impact

Hearst Magazines seeks a Financial Analyst who will play a critical role in maintaining existing brand finance operations, supporting the Enthusiast & Wellness and Fashion & Luxury groups. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with business development scenarios, updating monthly status and trend reports, and other related business tasks.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, be well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks. High competency of key computer programs, including Excel and PowerPoint, is a must. The ability to manage multiple tasks and stay on deadline are required in this role. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, fast learner, and motivated to go above and beyond what is expected. The ideal candidate must also be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

What You'll Do

  • Understand all brand revenue streams and expenses channels.
  • Assist in developing business development financial scenarios.
  • Update monthly reports and presentations for key stakeholders.
  • Update internal reporting and be able to interpret data to identify significant trend shifts with associated business impact.
  • Work closely with multiple teams to gather information and ensure data is up-to-date data.
  • Assist with ad hoc requests.

Qualifications

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or similar field.
  • 1-3 years financial or business development experience in publishing or media space.
  • Must demonstrate conceptual and strategic thinking, as well as problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with accuracy and meet deadlines.
  • Highly organized with strong ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Must be highly collaborative and have strong interpersonal skills to positively communicate with all levels of staff.
  • Strong Excel skills are required.

This role requires the position to be located in New York, NY with an in-office presence of 3 days a week.

The base salary for this role is between $64,000 to $75,000 annually. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
