As a Lead Experience Designer at Intersection, you will be at the forefront of Intersection’s IoT practice, helping to design technology that will push the limits of the internet-integrated physical world. You’ll be an integral part of our efforts to help design, research and develop our products. As a leader on your team, your primary role is ensuring that members of your team grow, do valuable work and have a great time at Intersection. As we scale Engineering at Intersection, our approach to quality, practices, and skill development is a key pillar in building the kind of team we need to build the products we desire.

What you will accomplish:

• Design products bringing digital capabilities to the physical world
• Shepherd agile practices and process at scale across products and projects
• Be a product visionary when it comes to user driven experience in the physical space, using persona based tech to drive interaction.
• Develop relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Develop a deep understanding of the business environment and strategy
• Identify technology and product opportunities within the company and marketplace
• Helping drive from ambiguity towards something tangible through an iterative process
• Craft visual interface designs by creating high fidelity designs for product interfaces across platforms
• Create prototypes and visual wireframe interface prototyping tools and motion graphics
• Collaborate with other managers in leading Product Development

What we are looking for:

• 4-7+ years of experience in designing visual language systems for digital products and services
• Knowledge of design and prototyping tools, such as Adobe creative suite, Sketch, Invision_
• Ability to lead cross functional teams
• Introduce new ideas and concepts
• Ability to articulate a new concept or vision for projects
• Model constructive behavior
• Ability to engage at a strategic level with client stakeholders
• Ability to engage across disciplines
• Empathetic listening skills
• Ability to gauge team morale and report up or take action
• Ability to create team structure which enhance teamwork
• Clear understanding of human centered design
• Ability to interpret and execute against existing brand guidelines
