Q is building an operating system for the built world, backed by a comprehensive technology and service platform. Today, hundreds of companies in four cities trust Q to make their offices run better. We handle everything from catering to IT, to cleaning, plumbing and office supply management. In short, we make it easy to run an office.

We also believe that creating good jobs is fundamental to our success. We treat all of our employees well — from software engineers to office cleaners. We know that 5-star service comes from talented, motivated people

Design @ Q:

At Q you will join a product-first company that looks at every problem it encounters as a product yet to be designed.

We are now looking for an exceptional lead product designer to work alongside a product engineer to form an autonomous and agile product team. At Q, product teams take ownership of their users’ problems and needs and quickly prototype and deploy features and solutions.

As a product designer, you have mastered the art of problem reframing, because you understand that you have to first identify the right problem before you can design the right solution. Then you are able to articulate several different avenues by which to solve a single problem and understand the engineering requirements of each.

You feel at home in creating wireframes as well as designing beautiful interfaces. (You, just like Q, find it bizarre that some designers only do one or the other.) You even love to get your hands dirty in the codebase.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the design team to identify problems and conceptualize
  • Use research and team learnings to wireframe and prototype
  • Design, build and test intuitive and empathetic interfaces for users
  • Work closely with product engineers to release features
  • Contribute to the design culture at Q through thought leadership

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in product-focused design
  • Basic HTML/CSS/JS
  • An innate sense of beauty and simplicity

Benefits:

  • Ground floor opportunity at one of the fastest growing companies in the world
  • Competitive salary
  • Generous Stock Options
  • 100% coverage for medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • An insanely supportive, hardworking team, building something BIG
