TodayTix Marketing Intern – New York, NY

Founded by theater insiders, TodayTix is a free app for iOS and Android that provides access to last-minute theater tickets. We launched in December 2013 in NYC and have quickly grown to a team of 50+ full-time employees. Now live in ten cities including New York, London, Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Boston, and Philadelphia, the TodayTix team has plans to expand its reach to many new national and global locations.

We’re looking for a responsible, detail-oriented self-starter to work directly with a team of theater professionals this semester. This internship is designed to give pre-professionals interested in marketing, the tools to develop a strong foundation for entering the workplace.

This internship runs from mid-January to mid-May.

Academic credit for internship or hourly rate is available.

The role will include:

• Business development research, running daily reports, and working with media outlets and marketing partners.
• Day-to-day general clerical/organizational support.
• Assisting with running video campaigns, social media marketing, and blogging.
• Research/write shareable, unique theater production roundups and short to mid-length listicles about the theatergoing experience.
• Work with Content Manager to generate ideas for new articles.
• Research theater productions in various regions that are of interest to the TodayTix audience.

About you:

• You must have extensive experience with theater (this could be acting, writing, watching, critiquing, etc.) If you live and breathe theater - this position is for you.
• Genuine love for and acute knowledge of theater in New York (and other regions).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Docs.
• Strong writing and research skills.
