DESCRIPTION

• Manage and coordinate all company events; including user community events and educational events for potential partners and clients 
• Shape Roomi’s PR strategy to drive awareness, engagement and reputation 
• Identify, pitch, and secure speaking engagements for Roomi Executive Team 
• Brainstorm, research and promote Roomi brand stories, infographics, and other marketing campaigns to increase user base 
• Support episodic news, announcements and product launches with PR outreach, pitching to secure placements 
• Identify, build, maintain contact of media journalists, influencers, and press sources covering Roomi’s areas of interests (i.e. millennial news, co-living, real estate, big data, startups news, and other relevant sources) 
• Develop strategic assessments for branding initiatives, including USP/positioning, brand character, theme and design

REQUIREMENTS

• 2-5 years experience in the PR, Marketing, or Communications industry 
• Experience in the Internet & Startup Industry 
• Ability to craft and pitch stories to industry publications and technology/Internet publications 
• Events management or support experience 
• Identified network of PR contacts in the NYC area 
• Professional, outgoing, and detail-oriented 
• Experience working with a dynamic team in a fast paced environment
