Lover.ly is the digital destination connecting modern couples, their bridal party and wedding guests to gorgeous inspiration, products, celebrity insider scoops, fashion & beauty hacks and expert advice. We are the go-to for all things “I Do,” serving up trustworthy advice that nearlyweds can use to stay organized and get empowered to put a unique stamp on their wedding. We’re looking for skilled writers, digital strategists and savvy social and traditional PR pros to join our brand team and keep Loverly top of mind in the wedding and lifestyle media landscape. Are you an eager student who happens to love the wedding industry? If so, this opportunity may be for you.

We’re looking for interns who are creative, pop culture enthusiasts and well-versed in trends within the millennial media space. Internship responsibilities vary and might include the following, splitting time among all three arms of the brand division - editorial, social and PR:

--Pitching, researching, and writing informative and engaging articles (with bylines!) covering a range of topics, like weddings, engagements, tech, wellness, health, beauty, travel, entertaining, relationships, DIY, fashion, beauty and food.

--Collaborating on posts with major bloggers

--Curating content and handling high-volume posting and community management across multiple Loverly social channels

--SEO tagging and basic Google analytics knowledge to update social channel analytics

--Reaching out to bloggers, vendors, influencers and tastemakers for social media takeover opportunities

--Updating/creating new content with basic graphic design for fun social posts, photoshop knowledge is a plus!

--Crafting thoughtful and carefully-tailored pitches to appeal to TV, online and print media

--Using industry tools like Cisionpoint to build contact lists and assist with media outreach

--Monitoring media coverage and tracking placements in the company’s press tracker

--Attending seasonal market events and meeting industry leaders on behalf of Loverly

This internship is a great opportunity to learn more about the latest in wedding planning innovation (at the crossroads of content and technology), all while building your portfolio. All applicants should have an understanding of the Loverly editorial voice and content. Public Relations, Communications or Journalism degree is preferred. We’re offering our Spring interns school/university credit ONLY, plus the potential for bylines (if editorial opportunities present themselves). All applicants MUST be enrolled in college or an accredited school to be considered. You’ll be expected to work from mid-January through May for a minimum of 16 hours per week in our Manhattan headquarters.
