As Product Designer, you will work on a wide range of projects, from web design to custom interactives for sales. You will think of products from a system and feature-based approach - always fighting for the user, but still understanding the needs of the business. You prefer iteration based design, but pay attention to details. Ideal candidates are strong communicators and can work in a fast-paced, agile environment. This position is based in our New York City office and will report to the Creative Director.

Responsibilities:

• Design world-class web, mobile, and desktop experiences for our millions of users
• Develop interactive experiences across multiple platforms such as iOS, Android, Facebook Instant Article etc.
• Contribute to the product design process, drive decisions, track issues, and assist in estimating resource needs and timelines
• Design wireframes and rapid prototypes to quickly explain implementations as well as final resources
• Help to create design guidelines, which ensure consistent experiences between desktop, mobile, and iOS interfaces
• Ability to handle working on multiple projects at once, while giving each one equal attention
• Effectively communicate conceptual ideas and detailed design rationale both verbally and visually
• Continually identify current and future web design patterns

Requirements:

• 2+ years of product design experience (desktop, mobile, iOS, Android)
• Strong knowledge of user interface design and interaction design
• Knowledge of how to create responsive design systems
• An eagerness to collaborate across disciplines with team members at all levels
• The ability to both work autonomously and as part of a team
• Understanding the impact your design has on code, as well as understanding opportunities code provides
• Excellent organizational skills
• Expert level proficiency in Sketch & Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and in at least one prototype tools such as Principle/Flinto/Framer etc (we use Principle)
• Strong sense of typography
• A passion for strong, clean, reusable/system design
• BA degree in Art or Design from a leading institution preferred
