What are we looking for?

We’re looking for an experienced and well-versed product manager to steer the development of our mobile and web product offering. As a product manager, you will be responsible for understanding the needs of our users and translating them into requirements. You’ll help plan the vision and strategy for the product, define requirements, design workflows, produce screen mockups, and manage product development to testing, and release. The JOOR platform serves as the backbone of our users’ businesses and we do not take this responsibility lightly.

Who are you?

• You have 4-6 years experience as a Product Manager at a startup or comparable fast paced company
• You have 1-2 years previous experience managing the day to day tasks of junior team members and coaching others on the team to get better
• You set goals for yourself, and your team and help them reach those goals.
• You are driven by metrics, and constantly looking to improve.
• You’ve on-boarded new team members and know how to get them up to speed quickly
• You have awesome bedside manner and experiencing talking to clients
• You know how to run a meeting and have very high standards
• You’re excellent at receiving large amounts of input and prioritizing your output.
• You’re comfortable interfacing with each important role in the business: clients, account managers, QA engineers, developers, and everyone in between.
• You think deeply about the impact of product decisions and designs.
• You’d rather focus on usability than create training documentation.
• You’re comfortable delivering products with minimal guidance.
• You over-communicate and ask questions.
• You take ownership of your product – from design to post-launch triaging.
• You focus on long-term best practices.

What Skills do you have?

• 4-6 years experience in a Product role at small to medium sized startup (required)*
• Experience developing iOS or web products, technologies, and/or platforms is strongly desired
• Experience working with the technical architecture of complex and highly scalable web/iOS applications
• Experience planning releases and working on many different types of projects at once
• Experience using Balsamiq, Photoshop, GIMP, and/or other wireframing/design tools
• Experience using JIRA or a similar project management system
• Experience with UX/UI design
• Experience leading cross-functional teams, including working directly with a development team
• Experience working in an extremely fast-paced environment
• Experience in a client-facing, project-based role
