Senior Account Executive

With at least 3-6 years of prior PR experience, ASTRSK is seeking an SAE who knows how to strategically develop highly impactful storylines while managing multiple projects and initiatives at the same time. Whether it’s owning a product launch or launching a brand, this SAE knows the right people and storytelling to make it impactful.

The ideal candidate should possess strong relationships with media across tech, business, consumer, and broadcast verticals, a proven track record of generating high-profile media placements, and a positive attitude that inspires other members of our team.

SAEs oversee the written-work of AE and AAEs and are responsible for the messaging documents that guide media relations, support new business initiatives in-person and represent ASTRSK PR when attending industry events, pitch the press, and lead client calls and initiatives with enthusiasm.

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess:

• At least 3-5 years of relevant PR experience; agency experience is a plus
• Prior experience managing multiple accounts preferred
• A Bachelor’s degree is a must, preferably in communications or journalism
• A strong understanding of the journalistic landscape and its players
• A proven track record of media placements and relationships across verticals
• Solid writing/editing skills and a familiarity with AP Style
• A basic understanding of business operations/structure and memory for each client’s C-suite and organization structure
• Understanding of how to use PR tools including Cision, MuckRack, and social networks
• A desire to lead and serve as an example to junior team members
