The Opportunity:
The Sr. Analyst will play a key role in company-wide budgeting and forecasting, management / KPI reporting and analysis, Board reporting and ad-hoc strategic projects. The Sr. Analyst will work collaboratively across all functions of the organization, and have significant exposure to senior management. The Sr. Analyst will play a key role in the financial operations and strategy of a rapidly growing, publicly traded technology company.
Responsibilities:
- Company-wide budgeting and forecasting
- Play key role in Annual Plan budgeting process
- Own / develop Company forecast model
- Contribute throughout Annual Plan process on presentations and reviews
- Contribute to Quarterly and Monthly Financial reporting and presentation of financials to Executive team
- Contribute to Monthly Business Unit review meetings and reports
- Update/maintain real-time revenue tracking and forecasting capabilities
- Work with accounting team to integrate actual results reporting with forecasting, budgeting, variance reporting and general trend analysis
- Management / KPI reporting and analysis
- Contribute to Weekly financial overview presentation to management team
- Contribute to Monthly fact pack for Board of Directors
- Review monthly financial results against plan and provide senior leadership with insight, trends, and highlights
- Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures
- Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance, focusing on currency, geography, product line, margin impact, customer behavior and other trend drivers
- Business analytics
- Partner with Business Analytics group on financial analyses
- Help drive meaningful insights with data that is re-useable and easy to hand-off
- Ad hoc strategic projects
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis to support executive team and department heads
- Ad hoc financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience in an analytical and data driven role in consulting, investment banking, private equity, or corporate strategy
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills
- Comfort analyzing large data sets via SQL queries, MS Access, data cubes, pivot tables, etc.
- Familiarity with SQL or openness to learning SQL.
- Experience producing reports and presentations for senior leadership and a Board of Directors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Hands on mindset; willingness to roll up sleeves and work with members of the team in hands on capacity.
- Detail-oriented, outgoing, self-motivated and goal driven mindset
- BA/BS Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience within and knowledge of the technology ecosystem.
- Experience with M&A or corporate finance
- Working knowledge of online marketing concepts (i.e. SEM, SEO, LTV, etc.)
