Role:

Reporting to the Vice President of Product Marketing, the Product Marketing Manager will be a key member of the marketing team. They will be responsible for building and supporting product marketing function for LearnVest & Northwestern Mutual brands. This will include LearnVest, LearnVest at Work, and the Northwestern Mutual brand.

You will work with cross-functional teams to set roadmaps for the digital product offerings and also be responsible for how LearnVest & Northwestern Mutual are positioned in the marketplace. A main focus of this role is responsible for identifying, interpreting, and championing consumer insights. You will need to have strong experience with current market trends to create & market differentiated new products that deliver unique benefits and superior value to the client.

Responsibilities:

  • Act with a customer first mindset and as the voice of the customer. Know the market, customer and competition better than anyone 
  • Perform competitive, industry analysis and customer research and analysis to define opportunity areas and future product roadmap, including target market, features and functions of a product
  • Perform customer research to create a delightful and differentiated customer and product experience
  • Create market requirements document for product development, creative, technology, and finance teams
  • Support the development of the messaging and positioning of products across the user experience and marketing channels
  • Manage the launch of new products across all channels and the cross-functional implementation of the plan to drive demand generation and engagement
  • Develop product marketing scorecard to analyze customer engagement and performance metrics to help drive strategy & roadmap 
  • Continually monitor and understand our customers, customer needs, industry trends and competition to inform product marketing strategies and communications

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in Product Marketing at a technology company successfully bringing new products to market
  • Proven experience leveraging data and customer research to create a successful product roadmap and launch 
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills
  • Strategic thinker and consumer obsessed
  • Self-motivated and resourceful 
  • Collaborative, enthusiastic team player
  • Highly intelligent, analytical, and humble
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Grittiness, determination and perseverance
  • Strong creative eye with a solid understanding of UX
  • Ability to develop strong relationships 
  • Exceptional problem solving skills
  • Strong understanding of the Agile methodology and applying it into real world environments
  • Interest in working in the FinTech sector for a fast-growing organization
